We’re getting our first look at the design for what will be the new Pensacola Bay Bridge.
The artist renderings are designs from Skanska USA. The Florida Department of Transportation has issued a notice of intent to award a design-build contract with the company.
The $398.5 million dollar project will have Skanska designing and building the new bridge over Pensacola Bay in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
Each side of the bridge will have three lanes, plus inside and outside shoulders. There will also be a 10-foot wide shared use path on the outside of each bridge. The shared use path will be separated by a concrete barrier.
Skanska USA is based in New York.
