MPD Arrests Two in PNC Bank Murders


UPDATE (10:30 a.m. 10/11) – Mobile Police has identified the two victims in the shooting as Salathio Lockett Jr., a 20-year-old man from Mobile, and Shamichael Scott, a 19-year-old woman from Mobile. They were found deceased inside a vehicle when law enforcement arrived on the scene.

ORIGINAL STORY – Mobile, AL (WKRG) – Two men are behind bars this morning, each charged with two counts of murder. News 5 is the only station to have the video of the arrests of 20-year-old Caesar Harris and 24-year-old Anthony Ford. They are accused of killing a young man and woman who were found shot to death in a car at the PNC bank on Saint Stephens Road early Friday morning. Police say at least one of the suspects and one of the victims knew each other, but they won’t say what prompted the shootings.

“We are always grateful for the information we did receive. We can’t say if the tips led us to this arrest, but we are always grateful, you know when the community gets involved and give us information, we are always grateful for the information we receive,” said Mobile Police Officer Terrence Perkins. Police still haven’t released the names of the two people killed. Harris and Ford are behind bars at Mobile Metro Jail this morning.
