Reward offered for missing search and rescue dog

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) - A search and rescue dog in training with Alabama Task Force 1 has been missing since Friday night.

Trick is a two-year-old black and white border collie. He was last seen in the Alpine Hills subdivision in West Mobile.

"Something spooked him and he jumped the fence and we have not seen or heard from him since," said Trick's owner Winona Leard.

Signs with Trick's face on them now line the streets of West Mobile. Leard is pleading with the public to call her if you see a dog that could be Trick.

"The world works in mysterious ways," said Leard. "Find him safe and God forbid we have another Katrina or disaster, he may return the favor in kind by finding your family."

A $500 reward is being offered for Trick's safe return. If you see Trick, call Winona Leard at (251) 604-3100.
