City Councilman Richardson sides with citizen suing the Council

MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) - Mobile City Councilman Fred Richardson says he agrees with the woman suing the City Council, according to paperwork filed Monday.  Richardson's filing states that he "hereby take sides with the Plaintiff on the complaint", which involves the Councils' inability to elect a President.  Richardson also requested that Judge Robert Smith enter a Summary Judgement in favor of the Plaintiff.

Chassity Ebbole, a local tattoo studio owner, filed the suit in April alleging that she, and the citizens of Mobile, are suffering harm from the Councils inability to select the next President of the council.

A hearing in the case has not yet been set.
