MCSO: Arrest Made in Stolen Truck, Recovered Guns Case

UPDATE 3:30 PM — Joseph Bradley Weaver is a person of interested in a home burglary in Jackson County, Mississippi.

According to JCSO, 13 guns were stolen from a Moss Point home and were recovered when Mobile County Sheriff’s deputies searched the truck found at the Grand Bay exit in Alabama.

Sheriff Ezell from JCSO says, along with the 13 guns, $600 in cash was stolen from the Moss Point home.

Weaver is currently jailed in George County on numerous charges.

UPDATE 10/4 (2:45pm) — Joseph Bradley Weaver, who was arrested by Mobile County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday in connection to the stolen truck found in Grand Bay, has been charged with 11 felonies ranging from Armed Robbery, Motor Vehicle Theft, Grand Larceny, Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling, and Burglary, according to the George County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi.

Also charged with Weaver is Adrienne Cheyenne Campbell (24) of Wilmer, AL, and Robert Michael James Rankin (32) of Wilmer.

Campbell is officially charged with 10 felonies to include Motor Vehicle Theft, Grand Larceny Burglary, and Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling.

Rankin has been officially charged with 6 felonies to include, Armed Robbery, Grand Larceny, Burglary of an occupied dwelling and burglary.

Weaver is currently being held in the George County Regional Correctional Facility under a $750,000.00 Bond. Campbell and Rankin are being held in Mobile Metro in Alabama awaiting extradition to Mississippi.

UPDATE 4:26 pm — MCSO will hand Joseph Bradley Weaver to the George County Sheriff’s office before he will face charges in Mobile.

Weaver was wanted in George County, Mississippi for numerous cases in connection with home invasion, burglary, and auto theft, according to Sheriff Keith Havard from the George County Sheriff’s Office.

Captain Paul Burch with MCSO, says Weaver has a year’s long record on burlgary, theft and drug charges.

According to authorities, it is believed that the guns found in the truck are stolen property from George and Mobile Counties.

Also taken to George County is Markey Lamar Henderson. Officials are not sure if he was involved with Weaver, but Henderson was arrested on trafficking and ice charges. He was found with half a pound of meth, which officisal say they only see drug dealers carry that much on their person.

MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) – Investigators with the Mobile County Sheriffs Office have arrested Joseph Bradley Weaver, 22 of Wilmer, in connection with Monday’s recovery of a stolen vehicle and manhunt in Grand Bay.

Initially, the truck was reported abandoned, but officials from the Mobile County Sheriff’s office say that the truck was reported stolen Sunday from a business.

A worker from the business found the truck and reported it to the Sheriff’s Office on Monday. When someone identified the stolen truck, two men fled from the area. A perimeter was set up to search the area and Weaver was taken into custody sometime later.

Deputies with Mobile County are expected to provide more details in the case Tuesday afternoon when Weaver is escorted to Mobile Metro Jail.This is a developing story and News 5 will provide more information when it becomes available.
