Mayor Sandy Stimpson returned from a productive trip in France Wednesday..
We caught up with him after landing at Mobile Regional Airport.
He spent five days overseas at the Paris Air Show where three companies announced they’re setting up shop in Mobile at Brookley Aeroplex.
Mobile is now starting to see some of those suppliers come on board to work with Airbus and the mayor expects more to follow.
“But I really believe this that once the planes are being manufactured and they get on the pace of four per month and they break through that threshold and start doing more than that then you will really see the larger manufactures wanting to relocate,” said Stimpson.
While the mayor is back, a number of local officials from mobile remain in Paris courting businesses at the air show.
