Three men are facing charges in Northwest Florida for allegedly breaking into a home, robbing a man at gunpoint and then kidnapping the man’s girlfriend.

Deputies responded to the 4000 block of Ashland Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, April 13. The victim told deputies the men also stole his money.

Investigators determined one of the suspects was the girlfriend’s ex-husband, Justin Cook.

According to the sheriff’s office, Cook and two accomplices — identified as Jonathan Coffey and Joshua Miskimens — took the girlfriend to Seminole, Alabama in Baldwin County, where they allegedly hid the money and guns.

Deputies said the property where the suspects hid the items belonged to one of Coffey’s family members.

After the trio returned to Florida, deputies said they spotted Cook at a Circle K on W. Nine Mile Road and arrested him. The girlfriend was unharmed.

All three suspects are facing charges that include home invasion, grand theft and false imprisonment.
