Man Arrested for String of Vehicle Break-Ins in Baldwin County

LOXLEY, Ala. (WKRG) – A man was arrested Tuesday in Baldwin County after a string of vehicle break-ins in the Daphne and Loxley areas.

28-year-old Frank McCall III was taken into custody after a traffic stop where officers found he had active warrants for his arrest. The stop was conducted by the Silverhill Police Department and the Loxley Police Department. After he was taken into custody, McCall was interviewed by detectives with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and during the interview, McCall confessed to his involvement in the vehicle burglaries.

The burglaries took place over the course of November in the Chamberlain Trace and Plantation Hills neighborhoods.

Deputies say McCall targeted vehicles in the neighborhoods with unlocked doors. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind the public to look your car doors and remove any valuables from plain sight in your car. Deputies also thanked the homeowners with security surveillance cameras that helped make the arrest.

McCall was charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Discharging a Firearm into an Unoccupied Dwelling. Additional charges could be filed.

He is currently being held in the Baldwin County Jail on a $15,000 bond. McCall was a long arrest record in Baldwin County going back to 2008. His previous arrests include charges of Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Probation Violations, along with Failure to Appear.
