UPDATE: Woman identified in deadly I-10 Bayway accident

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) - An investigation continues in the deadly accident involving four vehicles on the I-10 Bayway that occurred Thursday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 37-year-old Lori Lynn McLendon from Loxley suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. on the westbound side of the I-10 Bayway between exit 30 off and on ramps.

According to troopers, McLendon was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry. Others involved were: Jeffrey Linzy, of Cantonment, FL driving a 2007 Ford Expedition; Jamie Beshel, of Daphne, AL driving a 2014 Volkswagen; Patrick Perry Jr driving a 2013 Ford truck.

Troopers say all vehicles were traveling westbound prior to the crash and were either slowing or stopped in traffic due to an earlier crash ahead.  Troopers say a chain reaction crash ensued that resulted in the pileup.

Traffic remained diverted onto the causeway into the early afternoon as troopers worked to clear and process the scene.

Troopers say Linzy was injured and transported to Thomas Hospital in Baldwin County.  Beshel was injured and transported to Mobile Infirmary.  Perry was not injured.  All four drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
