List of event cancellations, postponements due to this weekend’s severe weather


Due to the expected severe weather outbreak this weekend, events around the area have already been canceled or postponed. 

Here’s a list of events that we knew have canceled or postponed. We will continue to update is as we hear more. 


The Wave Transit System — will suspend bus service beginning at 7:00 pm today, Saturday, April 14, 2018, due to forecasted severe weather and flooded road conditions in the City of Mobile and surrounding Coastal Areas. The last inbound and outbound buses departing the GM&O Building, The Shoppes at Bel Air, and Prichard Hub will be at 6:00pm. Regular Bus Service will resume on Monday, April 16, 2018.

The Mobile Pops Bring Disney to Gulf Coast — Event has been moved to Monday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Medal of Honor Park. 

Dauphin Island Parkway Cleanup  — CANCELED

A Day of Science — RESCHEDULED for Saturday, April 28, 2018

South Alabama football Spring Game — Red and Blue game MOVED UP to 9 a.m. on Saturday


PENSACOLA, Fla.- The Ship to Shore VIP Pairing Experience scheduled for Saturday evening has been canceled. 

According to The Pensacola Experience, the event is canceled due to the possibility of severe weather. The website states all purchased tickets will be reimbursed.

Cops & Kids Spring Festival — CANCELED (There are plans to reschedule the event sometime in May)
