With storms expected this weekend, some Gulf Breeze business owners are on edge.
Back in October, Gulf Technical Services and the salon next door were heavily damaged during a storm.
Flash forward a few months and things are still not back to normal.
Amber Bradford works for the family who owns the buildings.
“There were some straight-line winds that came through and basically just kind of ripped the roof off the building and set it down in the back,” Bradford said.
Bradford says it’s over two hundred thousand dollars worth of damage. She says she hopes this weekend’s storms aren’t half as bad. She has some advice for anyone who owns a house or building.
“With what we go through like hurricanes and unexpected weather like back in October, if you don’t have good insurance with good coverage, you could be left in shambles,” Bradford said.
Bradford says there’s still no timeline on when the building will be back to normal.
