Fatal Shooting Victim Found After Mardi Gras Parade Identified


Mobile Police have identified the victim as 15 year old Amir Parker.

Police say he was shot in the parking lot of the Popeye’s Chicken near Scott and Conti Streets in Downtown Mobile.  The shooting happened around 7:30 last Tuesday, that’s just a few hours after the last parade.

When officers were called to a reports of a shooting.  When they arrived on the scene, they found Parker suffering from gunshot wounds on the ground.  Paramedics took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say it is still early in their investigation, they are still talking to witnesses, and piecing together what happened.  Parker was a student at Murphy High School.
