Deputies say man whipped victim for running up cable bill

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — An Escambia County Florida man faces aggravated child abuse and domestic violence charges after deputies say he whipped a minor with a belt for running up the cable bill.

Authorities say the victim told deputies Jeremy Scott Young beat him for ordering movies.

When authorities spoke to Young, he told them the victim had rented 280 dollars worth of videos without permission.

In the arrest report, deputies say they noticed bruises on the victim’s arm, face and neck.

Deputies say Young, his wife, and mother stated they did not want to care for the victim anymore because of this incident.
