UPDATE: Victim in deadly Orange Beach fire identified

UPDATE 8:57 P.M.: Orange Beach Fire officials have identified the man who died in an early morning fire Saturday morning.

After a search of the house, Raymond P. Trahan, 51 of Rayne, La., was found dead inside.

UPDATE 8:55 A.M.: Orange Beach Fire officials say five people were in the home at the time of the fire. One man was found dead inside the home. A woman in the home was taken to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of smoke inhalation but is expected to be okay.

At this time, they don’t know why the victim wasn’t able to make it out of the home alive. The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WKRG) — One man is dead following a house fire in Orange Beach. Orange Beach Fire Rescue said they got a call about a structure fire on Holley Lane a little after 3 Saturday morning.

One man was killed. The State Fire Marshals Office is investigating. This is a breaking story and we’ll update this post as new information becomes available.
