The National Weather Service in Mobile, AL has confirmed a tornado touched down yesterday (Feb 10) 8 miles west of Chatom, AL.
The storm survey conducted by the National Weather Service rated the tornado as an EF-0 with estimated peak winds of 75-80 mph.
The tornado touched down just south of Highway 56, east of Flat Branch Rd at 5:18 PM. The path of the storm lasted approximately 0.16 of a mile and the tornado was 100 yards wide. The tornado ended at 5:19 PM.
This tornado did cause damage to a roof of a residence and was also responsible for blowing out a window.
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
