Former Alabama football star and current Baltimore Raven C.J. Mosley returned to his hometown to host a football camp for young kids in Theodore on Saturday. The camp was called C.J. Mosley’s “Get Fit Too Camp” and was free to those who wanted to learn from the pro.
Hundreds of kids buckled down to participate in drills throughout the morning.
CJ Mosley says he pushes campers to have a good work ethic and to develop their fundamentals. Teaching young kids the basics such as footwork, agility, and hand-eye coordination are keys for success on the field, according to Mosley.
Mosley views his position as a role model as a blessing that comes with a lot of responsibilities.
“Everything you do you know everybody is going to see, and it is definitely going to affect different people different ways,” said Mosley. “You definitely have to worry about your last name and always keeping it as positive as you can,” he continued.
CJ Mosley will be playing his third year in the NFL this upcoming fall as a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens.
