BREAKING: Shooting Outside Shopping Center in Mobile

Mobile Police have released new details in the shooting investigation that occurred on Saturday night at the Yester Oaks Shopping Center on Airport Blvd.

Police says the preliminary investigation indicates two men were fighting outside over a female and one man pulled a knife. The second man then pulled out a gun and shot three times. 

On Saturday, a suspect was taken in for questioning. Police now tell us, no arrest has been made because police say “self defense was consistent with what the detectives found.” Police are still investigating the shooting.

Mobile Police are investigating a shooting Saturday night that sent one person to the hospital.

According to Mobile Police, a man was shot outside Lucky’s Irish Pub in the Yester Oaks Shopping Center on Airport Boulevard just before 9 p.m. on Saturday. His condition is unknown at this time. 

Mobile Police tell News Five that one person has been detained for the shooting.

Several police cars, an ambulance, and a fire truck were seen outside the bar on Saturday. Police also had crime scene tape surrounding an area of the parking lot. 

A motive behind the shooting has not been released, but police say it stemmed from an altercation. The names of the suspect and victim have also not been released.
