Birmingham Firefighters go above and beyond when responding to local veteran

A couple of Birmingham Firefighters are getting attention on social media for going the extra mile to help out a local veteran.

On Saturday, Rescue Unit 25 responded to the vet who experienced chest pains while mowing his yard. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.

In the meantime, first responders Tommy Carter and Timothy Kennedy went back to the vet’s home to finish mowing his lawn.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue posted the heart-warming story on their Facebook page.
