(WKRG)-A Foley man is in custody after a police chase from Baldwin County to Prichard.
The wild ride started near Baldwin County Road 54 and County Road 64 in the Belforest community. Baldwin County sheriff’s deputies were attempting to stop a vehicle driven by Joel James of Foley.
Officers pursued James through Lake Forest, then to the Bayway and into Prichard. James was arrested after blowing through a stop sign and hitting an Alabama State Trooper who had joined the pursuit.
Both the state trooper and James were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
James now faces charges of Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Elude and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
