Williamson ended the season 20-7 and won their area thanks in part to our Athlete of the Week Jordan Bell.
“At the 4A level a kid with that size and ability coupled with the intangibles he has, he’s a pleasure to coach and a pleasure to teach,” said Williamson basketball coach Shumbe Hunter.
Bell has been a key contributor for the Lions all season, and his high flying ability to change games with a dunk helped Williamson claim their region title.
“They (UMS) jumped out on us 10-12 points. He got a dunk that sparked that sparked the crowd and sparked the team. From that point on we started rolling,” said coach Hunter.
Bell knows his team feeds off those highlight reel plays.
“It’s fun,” said Jordan Bell. “It makes my teammates happy.”
Bell is only a sophomore, the future is bright for this rim-rocking Lion.
“He just does stuff naturally. To have that hidden ability and talent is promising for the future,” said coach Hunter.
