WASHINGTON D.C. (WKRG) — Saturday people joined together, flooding the streets in Washington and marching in support of the #WalkAway movement. The campaign movement is for sharing the stories of people who no longer agree with the ideas and concepts of liberalism and what the Democratic party represents, according to the #WalkAway Campaign. It was founded by former liberal Brandon Straka in June of 2018, who posted a video on Facebook explaining why he left the liberalistic party

President Donald Trump congratulated Straka Saturday for starting “something very special.”

The #WalkAway Campaign was live on Facebook while walking the streets in D.C. The video shows hundreds in support of the movement chanting “walk away.”

“DC Police estimated more than 5K at the first ever #WalkAwayMarch!! Folks came out in the rain and cold to #WalkAway and #WalkWith. Our March spanned 7 city blocks. Incredible day yesterday!!!” Brandon Straka said Saturday in a tweet.
