WESTPORT, Mass. (WPRI) — The U.S. Coast Guard is responding to Buzzards Bay after they say a cruise ship went adrift Friday afternoon.

Coast Guard officials said no injuries have been reported in connection with the disabled vessel. The 376-foot cruise ship, named the “Star Pride,” has 350 people on board.

The Buzzards Bay Task Force and several Coast Guard teams in the area have been launched to assist the vessel, which is currently anchored and holding in place.

The Coast Guard said it was unclear where the ship was heading to or coming from, or what caused the ship to be disabled. However, a tweet from Windstar Cruises said the ship was due to be docked in Manhattan Saturday morning.
