A spokesperson for the property contacted News 5. She describes this as an isolated incident. The spokesperson said MPD and property security responded promptly adding this was a complete violation of the mall’s code of conduct and the people responsible have been banned from the property.  The spokesperson said four to six people were banned but she did not have an exact number.  

UPDATE 10 am: Mobile Police confirm two were arrested after the fight. Here’s info from MPD:

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019 police responded to The Shoppe at Bel Air in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, officer saw several females fighting. Officers after a brief struggle were able to gain control over the subject that was identified as the main aggressor. Officers also took a male subject into custody as well.

Shamichael Yates, 22, was arrested and charged with Assault 1st, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest.

Demarlo Essex, 24, was arrested and charged with Making Terrorist Threat, Disorderly Conduct, Warrants.–Email message from MPD

Mobile, Ala. (WKRG) — A new viral video is making the rounds on social media showing a fight at the Shoppes at Bel Air Mall.  Viewers sent this video into News 5.  They said the fight happened shortly before 1 pm on Tuesday afternoon.  

They believe the fight started in a nail salon and then spilled into the main hallway.  It appears up to six people were involved in the brawl at one point.  Towards the end, we see one woman involved in the tussle run out the front door.  We see mall security and a Mobile Police Officer intervene.
