UPDATE: Police found 3 people dead in a home at 5004 Karlan Drive, a murder-suicide police say. All of the dead are related. The call came in about 9:15 Tuesday morning.

News 5 spoke with a neighbor who said he was surprised to see the scene Tuesday morning. Hugh White said, “When I came out to leave to go to the gym, the whole road was blocked off.” He continued, “18 – 20 police cars and so i just started asking questions.”

White did not get many answers, but he’s lived on Karlan Drive for more than 10 years, and knows most of the people who live on his street. He said,”They were always, they would always speak or wave. I never spoke to the son and I just had been seeing him out here.”

Police say when they got to the house on Karlan Drive, officers found three people dead inside. It’s being investigated as a murder suicide.

Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste said, “This is a difficult situation for anybody to have to deal with.”

Police say all three victims were related. White said,”We see them all the time. I’ve seen the mother and father quite a bit, wave to them as we go by. I’ve seen the son bringing the garbage can out and bringing it back in, but I never knew there was anything wrong.”

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Officers have not released the names of the victims.
