It’s a big day at one Mobile Catholic school. All students and staff return to the same campus months after a fire at a Breakfast with Santa event that injured five people.
Since the fire, a number of grades were moved to different locations off campus. Over the summer crews worked to remodel the building.
Back in December, a flammable gas ignited during a Breakfast with Santa event on a cold Saturday morning. Five people–including two adults and three children–were injured. The fire damaged the parish’s main fellowship hall and the building used for several grade levels. Some students had to be moved to different Catholic schools last school year. Today they’ll all be at the same place.
