Spire delivers 250 teddy bears to USA Children’s and Women’s hospital

Mobile County

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Spire crews shared some Valentine’s Day love to kids at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital.

250 employees delivered teddy bears to patients at the hospital Thursday.

“Normally the warmth and comfort that we deliver is underground, tucked away in pipes you can’t see. But today we’re delivering warmth and comfort in a special way,” said Joe Hampton, president of Spire. “This Valentine’s Day, Spire crews are delivering hugs and teddy bears to kids at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital. It’s our way of showing how much we care—of being what we call Fuel for Good—and it’s a chance for us to spread a little love to children who need it most.”

The special delivery is part of a company-wide commitment that encourages Spire employees to give back to their communities through service.
