Satsuma students evacuated from school bus after engine catches fire

Students were evacuated this morning from a Satsuma school bus after the engine caught fire. According to a statement from school officials, the students were able to get off the bus and the driver was able to put out the fire with an extinguisher. 

Update on Bus 2001-138:
There was a small electrical fire in the engine on bus 2001-138 this morning. Students were safely evacuated and the driver was able to put out the fire with the extinguisher. The fire department is on-site for precautionary measures and a relief bus is in route to pick up the students. Due to this incident, students who ride bus 2001-138 may be picked up 20-30 minutes behind schedule this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience. We are beyond grateful that the driver and students are safe!
