SARALAND, Ala. (WKRG) — The Alabama State Department of Education has released their  grades for school districts across the state.

Saraland City Schools have announced they are one of just 15 school districts in Alabama that have been given an A rating.

In a letter to the community, Superintendent Dr. Aaron Milner wrote:

“This achievement is a tribute to many factors, however, not possible without the collaborative effort of teachers, parents, administrators, and most importantly, students. Additionally, unparalleled community support and a school board that focuses every decision on what is best for the children in Saraland schools made this accomplishment possible. It is difficult to express how proud I am of all who made this goal attainable. Know that while recognition such as this is valued, we will continue to explore ways to improve. For now, I urge you to take great pride and celebrate the accomplishments of your school system.”
