PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — Two men in Prichard have been arrested after a police chase, and the driver of the car is charged with attempted murder after trying to hit a police car, Prichard police say.
Jordan Weatherford and Jacquell Graham are behind bars after a high-speed chase ended on Clark and Owens streets. Weatherford was the driver, and he is now charged with attempted murder for trying to hit a Prichard police detective with his vehicle.
Graham, the passenger, might be familiar to WKRG News 5 viewers. He is a person of interest in the murder of Corey Davis. Davis was murdered in the Fayette area of Prichard in mid-March.
Graham was wanted on several felony and misdemeanor charges with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Prichard Police Department, Chickasaw Police Department, and Harris County, Ga., Sheriff’s Department. Prichard police say Graham is also connected to three shootings last month.
The first shooting happened on Oct. 10 on Thomas Avenue in Prichard. Twin brothers Kenton and Kelton Todd have been arrested and one other suspect, Kendarious Welch, is still at large.
The second shooting happened on Oct. 24 and left three people injured on Mill Street in the Creighton area. One woman was shot in the stomach, another woman was shot in the leg and a man was shot in the arm. The third shooting was on Oct. 26 on Union Avenue in Mobile. Several shots were fired; one bullet struck an unoccupied vehicle.
