MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) —
UPDATE 7:30 AM 7/14/19: Sheila Gurganus with the Alabama Cruise terminal said in an email this morning the Carnival Fantasy should be back in Mobile around 9 – 9:30
UPDATE (2:30 p.m.) — The Port of Mobile remains closed due to current weather conditions. The Carnival Fantasy is expected to arrive at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal on Sunday, July 14.
From Carnival Cruise Line:
“Oerations at the Port of Mobile are still suspended for all commercial inbound and outbound traffic due to adverse maritime conditions caused by the storm. Given today’s delay, our plan is to operate this cruise as a 4-day sailing to Cozumel, departing Sunday, 7/14/19, assuming normal port operations are resumed at Port of Mobile.
Guests have been advised NOT to proceed to the cruise terminal until we have confirmed our embarkation plans for tomorrow. Guests booked on this voyage may opt in for text alerts by texting CCL3 to 278473.
We realize this is an unexpected change and sincerely apologize for this disruption to their vacation plans. Given the shortened duration, guests will receive a pro-rated refund of their cruise.
Guests who elect not to travel, we will be provided with a future cruise credit toward their next Carnival vacation.
We plan to post another update about Carnival Fantasy at 8 a.m. tomorrow. These updates are also posted to Carnival.com.”
