Several social justice groups came to Saraland on Monday to deliver a petition with 50,000 signatures calling for charges to be dismissed against Chikesia Clemons.
Clemons is accused of resisting arrest during an incident at a Waffle House in Saraland in April.
Video of the arrest went viral, setting off a wave of national media attention, calling for the police officers involved to be disciplined.
During the arrest, the video showed Clemons on the ground with her breasts exposed.
The Saraland Police Department said Clemons was drunk and had threatened to shoot up the place prior to the arrest. No officers were disciplined.
The NAACP and Black Lives Matter were among the groups that came to Saraland Municipal Court on Monday to deliver the petition.
Clemons was in attendance as the groups chanted for justice.
