Man from Loxley hit and killed by vehicle in Citronelle Saturday night

UPDATE 10/25/21: News Release from ALEA:

MOBILE POST — A crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, and has claimed the life of a Loxley man. Justin Andrew Myers, 39, was walking in the westbound lane of the roadway when he was struck by a 2011 Buick Enclave driven by Ashley Gail Turner, 44, of Citronelle. Myers was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on scene. The crash occurred on Prine Road in Citronelle city limits, in Mobile County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.

ORIGINAL STORY: CITRONELLE, Ala. (WKRG) — One person is dead after a pedestrian was hit and killed in Citronelle. According to Facebook Post from the Fire Department, crews responded at 7:30 Saturday night to reports of a pedestrian that had been hit at Prine and Brannon Roads.

No further information has been released. We don’t know the identity of the person who was killed and we don’t know the circumstances. We reached out to Citronelle Police who said ALEA was investigating. We reached out to ALEA Sunday morning and are waiting to hear back.
