MOBILE, Ala (WKRG) – Officer Sean Tuder served the city of Mobile since 2016. But, his service went beyond the city. He was also a member of the 173rd Infantry in the Alabama National Guard. Tuder was killed in the line of duty Sunday in West Mobile.

On Facebook the 173rd Infantry wrote, “we are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of one of our own. Spc. Sean Tuder of the 1-173 Infantry Battalion was killed Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, in the course of his duties as a City of Mobile police officer. We offer our deepest condolences, support, and prayers to his family, friends, fellow Soldiers and fellow law enforcement officers, but, above all, we are immensely thankful for his service to his nation, state, community, and loved ones. We hope to honor that legacy. #WeHaveTheWatch
