Officer Sean Tuder honored at Mobile city council

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – At Tuesday’s Mobile city council meeting, fallen Officer Sean Tuder was honored.

The Alabama Society of Sons of the American Revolution presented Officer Sean Tuder their highest award, the Medal for Heroism.

Officer Tuder’s wife, Krissy Tuder, was there to accept the award alongside Public Safety Dir. James Barber. 

Officer Tuder was shot and killed in the line of duty on January 20, 2019. According to police, Officer Tuder received information on an investigation he was working on from a confidential source and was authorized to come into work on his day off. Officer Tuder was working undercover by himself to “lay eyes” on Marco Perez at the Peach Place Inn. Perez was arrested and charged with capital murder.
