MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police say 19-year-old Marco Perez along with two underage teenagers are responsible for at least 18 car break-ins in Mobile.

They arrested Perez on Thursday around 2 pm after a “short” standoff.

The two-week investigation led police to Riviere Du Chien, 2500 block of Tahoe Drive, Autumn Ridge subdivision and 8300 Block of Lake Helen Drive South.

Investigators say an iPod, a North Face book bag, money, guns and even a pickup truck were some of the items stolen by the trio.

That pickup truck was later recovered when it was abandoned off Navco Road.

Perez is charged with six counts of burglary into an occupied building and three counts of unlawful breaking and entering.

The 19-year old has been arrested in the past for unauthorized use of a vehicle, burglary and attempted burglary.
