In June of 2017 a security guard at the bar, Jeremy Smith, was shot and killed there by a patron according to authorities. 37-year-old Dewayne Wheat is in metro jail awaiting trial on a murder charge in that case. The shooting death and several noise complaints prompted neighbors to call for the bar to close claiming gunfire from bar patrons has damaged surrounding property.
