MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Jennifer Hernandez and her daughter Alex Hunt are bringing to light concerns about sexual misconduct by a teacher at McGill Toolen Catholic High School. This, after the message of transparency by the Archdiocese of Mobile regarding the release of clergy members accused of sexual assault.

Hunt was a senior at McGill four years ago. She said a teacher repeatedly asked students for nude photos.

When she and her family tried to address the issue with the school and Archdiocese, Hunt claims she was brushed off.

“Not understanding why nothing was being done,” Hunt said. Hunt said he kept his job, at least for the remainder of the school year.

She and her mother’s anger about this resurfaced Wednesday in the wake of the archbishop’s announcement.

The school confirmed the teacher in question no longer works there, but they weren’t able to tell us when or why he left. The archbishop’s office has not gotten back to us about the case yet.
