Mobile teen who died at Navy boot camp to be buried with full military honors

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Baker High School grad who collapsed and died at Navy boot camp will be laid to rest next week.

18-year-old Kelsey Nobles died unexpectedly during a fitness test at Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois on April 23.

Visitation for Kelsey will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Kelsey’s funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Cottage Hill Baptist Church. She will be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors.

“Kelsey was a 2018 graduate of Baker High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club. She was an avid Auburn football fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Among her favorite past times was spending the day at the beach with friends and her family cruise to Cozumel Mexico. Kelsey is survived by her father and step-mother, Harold and Tifani Nobles and mother, Lisa Radkovich Nobles. She is also survived by her younger sister London and older brother Alek, her grandparents, many friends and other family members that loved her dearly. Her loyal and dedicated dogs, Molly, Isabella and Josie will also miss their faithful owner.”
