Mobile Fire-Rescue crews responded to a pair of unrelated house fires late Friday night and early Saturday morning. The video above is from a fire on Dauphin Island Parkway. Here’s a news release on that incident.
At approximately 22:59 hours, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department companies were dispatched to the 600 block of Dauphin Island Parkway for reports of smoke and flames visible from a residential structure.
Upon arrival on scene, crews confirmed heavy flames reaching through the roof of a single-story, wood-frame dwelling. The fire was reported successfully extinguished at approximately 23:47 hours, with a detailed search of the
property yielding all-clear results.
No injuries were reported from the incident. The cause of the fire is under ongoing investigation. — MFRD NEWS RELEASE
Crews stayed busy. Just a short time later another house fire was reported on St. Stephens Road.
At approximately 12:26 AM, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched to the area of St. Stephens Road at N. Lafayette Street for reports of a home on fire in the area. Upon arrival on scene, fire crews confirmed flames and smoke visible from a single-story, residential structure.
Crews entered the structure with charged hose lines, located the fire, and effectively fought back flames. No victims were discovered inside of the home, following a thorough search of the property.
All flames and hot-spots were successfully extinguished without any reported injuries. Fumes, smoke, and toxic gases were, also, adequately ventilated from the interior of the structure.
