MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) District Attorney Ashley Rich tells News 5 that a grand jury failed to indict an Alabama School of Math and Science student on a rape charge.
The grand jury met on Friday.
The accusation caused peaceful protests on campus within the last month. It also caused many alumni to speak out, expressing disapproval on how the school handled the case.
The school’s board says the alleged incident did not happen on campus.
Despite rumors circulating, District Attorney Rich says there are no plans to charge the alleged victim in the case.
