MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Grand Bay man is in jail after deputies say he kidnapped and assaulted his girlfriend.

Mobile County Deputies say they were called to Christopher Flood’s home Sunday night where they found his girlfriend with several injuries, but he had run away. She was taken to the hospital.

After being released from the hospital, she went to a friend’s house to hide from Flood.

He found her and kidnapped her, according to deputies.

Deputies were able to track Flood down where they safely rescued the girlfriend and arrested Flood after he tried to run away.
