MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man suspected of killing a 2-year-old because he wouldn’t potty train has been indicted on a capital murder charge.

Willie Burton was booked back into Metro Jail Monday afternoon. Burton had been out of jail on bond since May 3.

Burton is accused of killing his girlfriend’s toddler, Kye Freeman, in August 2018.

An autopsy revealed the boy suffered brain hemorrhaging, a lacerated kidney, and his stomach was separated from his small intestines.
