Man charged with robbing Mobile urgent care at knife-point

Mobile County

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG)- It was a terrifying Thursday morning for employees of a Mobile urgent care.

Police arrest a man in the ‘Festival Center’ shopping complex after ‘American Family Care’ was robbed.

It happened around 10:15AM Thursday at the location on Montlimar Drive, just off Airport Boulevard.

Mobile Police arrested 35-year old Brandon Morris for the crime.

News 5 asked him if he robbed the urgent care. “No, the f*** I did not,” said Morris as he was transported to Metro Jail.

He’s charged with first-degree robbery. Police say he used a knife during the crime.

Morris tells News 5 he wasn’t at the urgent care Thursday morning. “I was over at the Halloween store, that’s where the f*** I was. And before that, I was at Springhill Medical Center.”

A background search on him shows this is his first arrest in Alabama and his first time to Metro Jail.

A representative with American Family Care declined to comment about the robbery.
