Victims of storage fire want answers

THEODORE, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials with the State Fire Marshal’s office return to the scene of a large storage facility fire today to try and determine what started it.  The fire at Red Dot storage started Thursday night and wasn’t put out until Friday afternoon.

Even days later we still haven’t been told how it may have started.  The fire torched several units.  In the aftermath we’ve talked to people who’ve lost personal belongings and keepsakes they’ll never get back.  Some were insured others not. A Go-Fund-Me account was set up to help victims.

There are still a lot of questions surrounding this fire.  We spoke with people over the weekend, some of those folks said they couldn’t get to their lockers because the scene was still being secured by Mobile Police.  It’s not clear when officials might release information on a possible cause.
