Inaugural "Butterfly Walk" Saturday

Mobile, Ala. (WKRG) — The Butterfly Walk will take place on April 13, 2019, at Medal of Honor Park. The purpose of the walk is to raise funds to continue the mission of providing support to parents, grandparents, and siblings who have lost a child.  Family members will be able to walk/run in honor of their loved one as well as fellowship with other people who are on the same journey. Compassionate Friends is a non-profit organization and would not be able to hold this event without donations or sponsorship. Registration is $30.00 and includes 2019 Walk T-Shirt & Walk Bib.

The Compassionate Friends serves those who have suffered the death of a child, grandchild, or sibling. Monthly chapter meetings offer friendship, caring and a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings to discuss their grief with others who understand. Our ongoing goal is to provide support, friendship, understanding, and hope. Every day, The Compassionate Friends work to support, educate and connect families who have suffered the death of a child.
