MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Now that police have identified the victims in a deadly freak accident, we’re learning more about the driver.

According to authorities, 28-year-old Justin McCreary was behind the wheel of a car that plummeted over the I-10 exit ramp at Dauphin Island Parkway and landed on the railroad tracks below. Shortly after, a train came by and was unable to stop before hitting the car.

Mario Yow says he’s known McCreary essentially his entire life. McCreary worked at Yow’s security company.

“He was a great employee… he had so much life ahead of him, and he will be missed dearly by so many,” Yow told News 5.

Yow also said McCreary had three children and loved his family deeply.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
