Fourth earthquake in a week reported near Florida-Alabama line

POLLARD, Ala. (WKRG) — A fourth earthquake that took place late Tuesday evening was confirmed by the US Geological Survey Thursday. 

The 2.2 magnitude earthquake took place around 11:51 pm Tuesday near Pollard, Alabama, which is 18 miles east of Atmore. 

The earthquake comes after a 2.3 magnitude earthquake that took place around 8:27 pm, this one centered closer to Flomaton, Alabama. 

Two other earthquakes have been reported in the Alabama/Florida state line area. On March 7, a magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck northwest Florida. Monday, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake hit near Flomaton and Pollard.
