MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Police have arrested a man on a vehicular homicide charge in connection with a deadly crash in January 2018.

Michael Rodrick Evans, 32, was booked into Metro Jail Monday morning.

According to Mobile Police, Evans was traveling eastbound on Moffett Road when he allegedly ran the red light at Forest Hill Drive and T-boned a Lincoln Town Car.

The family of the driver of the Lincoln says Michael T. Breland, 72, was taken to a hospital but died hours later.

Evans was extradited to Mobile on Monday after being arrested in Mississippi on unrelated charges.
