COVID temporarily closes popular Mobile restaurant

Mobile County

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — COVID hits another popular Mobile business. Bob’s Downtown Diner closed Friday and will remain closed until Thursday morning.

A note on the front door said “COVID struck us!” and “your safety is important to us.” The restaurant briefly closed in July 2020 when some employees had virus symptoms. The diner’s owner is also known for charity efforts like feeding first responders during Mardi Gras and sending meals to hurricane victims last year.
