BREAKING: Report of child burned after can of alcohol explodes

IRVINGTON, Ala. (WKRG) – St. Elmo-Irvington Volunteer Fire Department says a child was flown by Lifeflight to the hospital after being burned in South Mobile County. The accident happened sometime after 3pm in the Irvington area.

A source tells News 5 a can of alcohol exploded and burned the child. Officials with the St. Elmo-Irvington Volunteer Fire Department could not confirm that information but did say someone was taken by Lifeflight to the hospital for treatment. The medical helicopter landed at the St. Elmo-Irvington Volunteer Fire Department on Dodge Road.
